Jacob Taylor
Jacob Taylor is an extremely versatile artist. He has a beautiful voice suited to both traditional and contemporary singing styles. Barry says of Jacob: "I have heard a lot of young musicians on my musical journey. They tend to be excellent in the studio and then fall apart in front of an audience of any size. It is the audience that brings out the best in Jacob. He is a “no fear” performer with a musical artistry level far beyond his actual age.” Even more important Jacob is a dedicated Christian young man and an example to all people of his generation.
Jacob first began playing trumpet in Jr. High in the Lake Dallas TX school system. He was the first chair trumpeter in his High School Band and also played lead trumpet in the High School Jazz band. Other honors include All-Region Band and Division One ratings at solo contest. He began his work with the Two Tenors concert as a guest artist trumpeter playing his first concert at age 16 and recording his first CD at age 17.
He has toured Japan, Europe and Canada as both a singer and trumpeter. While appearing as a Two Tenors guest artist he became interested in singing and worked diligently to achieve the beautiful mature voice he has today. Jacob is also an accomplished guitarist and composes his own songs. He has three recordings to his credit. The Two Tenors concert finds Jacob performing concerts all over the United States, Canada, and Asia more than 100 times per year.
